Testimonials
I have been in the industry for almost 20 years and working on loading racks for over 18 and I can honestly say that the Fort Vale coupler is the best API coupler we have ever used. — Scott Reiber, Holly Terminal Spokane
Since Safeload Coupler was introduced to our Terminal a few years ago, we have nothing but 100% satisfaction from Operators and truck drivers. This product met all expectations as introduced from no leaks to very easy to install/uninstall. Truck drivers are commenting and demonstrating how easy it is to use. Some drivers even wait for lanes with more SAFELOAD couplers for efficiency and to save time. The only criticism was no support handle to support the coupler while hooking it up. Recently, we had the opportunity to see the new and improved handle and are very impressed. — Kiri Maileoi, Shell Terminal Seattle
We had the Fort Vale installed at various load arms over the past five years that I’ve been here and it didn’t leak or show any signs of fatigue until about two months ago when the nose seal seemed to have a weep and showed some signs of wear. We don’t as a rule rebuild the couplers at Portland but the Fort Vale would be one I would consider rebuilding as it is very robust in performance and build design. I like the improved clamping dogs on the newest model as they are wider but the old model had a very secure clamping action on all trucks when some other brands would be sloppy or tend to leak. I believe that Fort Vale builds a superior product with the intention for it to work without fail or leak for the life of the product and our experience here far exceeded the “warranted” product life by a factor of three. I would recommend them to any terminal (and have). Keep up the good work! — Ed Couture, Phillips 66 Terminal Portland
